Lionsgate and Millennium announced Monday that the sequel to their 2017 movie "The Hitman's Bodyguard" has a new title, "The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard", and new release date.

The sequel, which reunites Samuel L. Jackson, Ryan Reynolds and Salma Hayek, moved from its August 20 release date to June 16.

The movie was originally set to hit theatres in 2020, but was pushed to 2021 due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

It also stars Antonio Banderas, Kristofer Kamiyasu, Gabriella Wrigh, Frank Grillo, Tom Hopper, and Morgan Freeman.

The sequel is written by Tom O'Connor and directed by Patrick Hughes, who helmed the original movie.
