Al Ahly of Egypt are set to host Raja of Morocco in the first leg of the quarter-final on Saturday.

The match will kick off at Al Salam Stadium for the 22:00 kick-off.

The ten-time African champions qualified for the last eight after being ranked second in their group, while the Moroccan team placed first in their group.

The history of both teams' clashes is as follows

Both teams have previously met on nine occasions, with Al Ahly winning five compared to two victories for Raja, while the draw decided the two other clashes.

This clash will be the first clash between both teams in the knock out stages, as the two teams played before in the Champions League in the group stage in the 1999, 2002, and 2005 seasons.

During their previous confrontations in the CAF Champions League, the Red Devils won once, while Raja secured three victories and the draw settled the other three encounters.

The next encounter between both teams at Cairo Stadium will be the seventh between both teams in the CAF Champions League.

The biggest win between both teams was for Al Ahly in the Arab Club Champions Cup 3-1 in 1997.

The clash, which took place on October 18th, 2002, saw the highest numbers of goals scored within a single match as both teams settled a six-goal thriller.
