Higher Education Min. Inspects Coventry University

Higher Education Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar inspected on Friday Coventry University during his current visit to the UK from November 19 till 23.

Abdel Ghaffar met with the university's Chair of the Board of Governors Keith Bissett and Vice-Chancellor Professor John Latham.

The minister stressed that the Higher Education's strategic vision for 2030 aims to improve the quality of higher education, achieve a qualitative leap in the education sector, and provide researchers and university professors with the knowledge, tools and educational skills, pointing out that the ministry is implementing an integrated plan to provide high-quality education for Egyptian and foreign students in Egypt.

"The Knowledge Hub Universities is the second university established in the New Administrative Capital," Abdel Ghaffar noted, adding: "The new international universities encourage Egyptian students wishing to study abroad to complete their university education in Egypt, as well as attracting several foreign students."

He pointed out that Egypt witnessed a great leap in the field of higher education through setting up new universities, developing existing universities, as well as establishing branches of international universities, teaching the latest global scientific curricula to cope with the needs of the labor market.

It is worthing mentioning that the minister visited the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and Hertfordshire University and met with Egypt's Ambassador in the UK Tarek Adel and representatives of London South Bank University.
