Here's How Queen Elizabeth Protects Herself Against Coronavirus!

Amid the recent threat of novel Coronavirus, and its wide spread across the whole world, Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II was photographed wearing gloves during Buckingham palace investiture ceremony.

The monarch wore long gloves, prompting speculation about whether it was a precaution against Coronavirus, as it is not typical for the queen to wear gloves for public engagements.

It is known that older people appear to be more vulnerable to the effects of the emerging virus. The Queen will celebrate her 94th birthday next April 21.

Transmission of viruses between humans happens when someone comes into contact with an infected person's secretions, such as droplets in a cough.

They can also be transmitted by coming into contact with something an infected person has touched and then touching your mouth, nose or eyes.

It is worth mentioning that, As of Wednesday afternoon, 87 cases have been confirmed in the UK. There are 80 in England, three in Scotland, one in Wales and three in Northern Ireland, according to BBC.

The World Health Organization WHO has warned that world countries should do more and prepare for a possible pandemic because of Coronavirus outbreak.

In an official statement, WHO said that it is too early to announce a pandemic now, but the countries should be in a “phase of preparedness”.

“The epidemic will be declared when the infectious disease is easily transmitted from person to person in many parts of the world,” the statement read.

More cases of the virus, which causes respiratory disease Covid-19, continue to emerge, with outbreaks in South Korea, Italy and Iran.
