Heavy Rains Expected on Wednesday

A three-day wave of unstable weather, accompanied by heavy rainfall, begun in Egypt on Wednesday.

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicted warm weather to prevail in Cairo, Lower Egypt, Northern Coasts, and South Sinai, as well as North and South Upper Egypt, during daylight hours.

Mahmoud Shaheen, Director of the Weather Forecast Department at EMA, revealed that the country is witnessing moderate to heavy rain in El Sallum, Marsa Matrouh, and Dabaa, which will extend to medium levels in Alexandria, at night.

Medium to heavy rains, sometimes thunderstorms, will reach the level of torrents in the Red Sea mountain ranges, Sinai, and the Gulf of Suez region.

Dusty winds will be active in North Upper Egypt.

It is also predicted that cold weather will prevail in Cairo, Lower Egypt, Northern coasts, and South Sinai, at night.

Meanwhile, the atmosphere will be extremely cold in the North and South of Upper Egypt.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 26C in Cairo, 24C in Alexandria, 21C in Marsa Matruh, 27C in Sohag, 28C in Qena, and 31C in Aswan.
