Health Min.: We Aim to Vaccinate 40 Mln Citizens by This Year's End

Dr. Hala Zayed, Minister of Health, said on Saturday: " we aim to vaccinate 40 million citizens by the end of this year."

She pointed out to the efforts exerted to provide these vaccines, whether by manufacturing them locally, or importing them from abroad, stressing that the ministry is working on increasing the production capacity of the local manufacture of vaccines, as well as the completion of many contracts to supply more vaccines of various kinds, adding the Egypt is one of the few countries that has a persity of vaccines.

Noteworthy, Egypt’s Ministry of Health and Population said in a post on its official page on “Facebook” that the Coronavirus vaccine is safe, effective, and stimulates the immune system to form antibodies to protect the body from the virus.

The Ministry of Health and Population called on citizens to register for receiving the vaccine on the website www.egcovac.mohp.gov.eg or to visit the nearest health unit office.
