Zahi Hawass Center for Egyptology of the Cultural Communication Sector at the BA organized a lecture in the pyramid area for Mansoura University students.

Hawass, the famous Egyptologist, explained to the students all the evidence that the pharaohs built the Cheops pyramid. In addition, the Sphinx belongs to King Khafra, the founder of 2nd Pyramid.

He said that the alleged city missing under the Sphinx has not been linked to reality, and has no scientific evidence at all.

He added: “We have pictures of the excavation under the Sphinx which shows the "Sphinx" is a deaf rock below and there are no corridors.

The 2nd basement is located on the north side of the statue and cannot be seen now. It has been closed by the French archaeologist Bartheer and is said to contain treasures.

All students were keen to wear a costume bearing the image of Dr. Hawass, and everyone was keen to take memorial photos with him in the pyramid area.
