Hassan Shakosh Arrested in Coffee Shop Opening

A security source confirmed the arrest of the singer Hassan Shakosh for interrogation regarding violating COVID-19 precautionary measures.

The source said that Shakosh was arrested on Sunday after hundreds of citizens gathered in front of a coffee shop owned by one of his relatives in Nasr City. Police shutdown the place hours after its grand opening, which included two other singers.

The source added that the security forces seized about 40 water pipes in the coffee shop, which is banned due to coronavirus, as well as creating a state congestion on a public road, in addition to lacking a permit to run the business.

 The security services in Cairo received information that a coffee shop in Nasr City, owned by a popular singer, is holding of a large opening ceremony and violating precautionary measures, in the presence of a large number of artists.

Meantime, the security services moved and had the coffee shop closed, seized water pipes the, and the necessary legal measures were taken in response to the incident.
