Hannah El Zahed Begins Filming “Helwa El Donia Sokar”

Egyptian actress, Hannah El Zahed began, Monday, filming her new TV Series “Helwa El Donia Sokar”, which will be her first lead role in a TV series.

El Zahed's husband, actor Ahmed Fahmy took to Instagram to congratulate his wife on her first lead role, noting she will be great as always.

The series is a social comedy genre that consists of 45 episodes and produced by Synergy, United Media Services, and K media, which is owned by producer Karim Abo Zekri.

“Helwa El Donia Sokar” features 9 different stories. Each story is presented in 5 episodes that feature a different cast except for El Zahed. It will also include many celebrity guest stars.

The series is directed by Khaled El-Halfawy, and written by 8 screenwriters, namely Eyad Saleh, Diaa Mohamed, Fedra Ahmed Al-Masry, Hisham Ismail, Hind Fayed, Mohamed Jalal, Ihab Balibl, and Ayman Al-Shayeb.

El Zahed’s latest artistic work is the comedy-fantasy film “El Ghasala” (The Washing Machine). The film is directed by Essam Abdel Hamid and is set 50 years in the future.

“El Ghasala” also stars Mahmoud Hemida, Ahmed Hatem, Shereen Reda, Bayoumi Fouad, and others.

It is worth mentioning that El Zahed, born on January 5, 1994, made her debut in the 2003 film “Al Meshakhsaty”.

She co-starred with prominent actor Mohamed Sobhi as his granddaughter in the 2009 TV series “Yawmeyat Wanees we Ahfadoh”.

The actress kept away from the entertainment industry for years, and resumed her acting career in the 2014 film ”Khettet Jimmy”, and in Tamer Hosny’s TV series “Farq Tawqit”.

She is known for her roles in TV series such as “El wad Sayed el Shahat” (2019), “Ayoub” (2018), “Sok Ala Akhwatak” (2018), “Fel La La Land” (2017), “Al Mizan” (2016), “Mawlana Al-asheq” (2015), “El Boyoot Asrar” (2015), “Alf Leila Wa Leila” (2015), and “Farq Tawqit” (2014).

El Zahed is also known for her roles in the 2018 film “Uqdat el-Khawagah”, and in the 2014 film “Khettet Jimmy”.
