Handball: Zamalek Rank 5th at Super Globe

Egypt's Zamalek handball team ended their adventure at the 2019 Super Globe World Championship in the Fifth position after demolishing Qatar’s Al Duhail 33-26.

The White Knights came out on top in the first half with a 15-12 victory, before further cementing their lead in the second half as they pulled off a 33-26 win to finish fifth in the tournament, held in Saudi Arabia.

Zamalek is ranking 5th at Super Globe

The Whites were knocked out from the prestigious tournament, after they were defeated on Wednesday, August 28 from German side THW Kiel in the quarter-finals.

They played their first game in the placement rounds against American champions New York City.

Zamalek, participating in this tournament as the African Super Cup winners, crushed the American champions with 38-24 during their Thursday's clash.

The Whites had defeated Al -Ahly in a hard-fought 38-35 game in the African Super Cup to qualify for the Super Globe in April.

The Eleven-time African champions finished the 2010 Super Globe in the third place, while they came fourth in 2011 and 2012.
