Motawie participated last Ramadan with TV series “Cairo-Kabul”.

The series also starred Nabil El Halfawy, Khaled El Sawy, Fathy Abdel Wahab, Tarek Lotfy, and others.

It is written by Abdel Rahim Kamal, directed by Hossam Ali, and produced by synergy Production Company.

The series was scheduled to be screened in Ramadan 2020, but the production was suspended due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

Production was later resumed, however, the makers of the series failed to catch up with the shooting schedule due to lack of time, especially since the series contained many abroad scenes that required to be filmed.

“Cairo-Kabul” revolved around 3 stories about the terrorist acts and plots the Egypt and Arab region faces.

The series centers around 3 main characters: a journalist (Abdel Wahab), a National Security officer (El Sawy), and a terrorist (Lotfi).
