"Halloween Kills" Drops Second Teaser Trailer

Just in time for Halloween, comes a new teaser for “Halloween Kills”, the latest sequel in the slasher franchise that began with 1978’s “Halloween”.

In a new clip released Thursday, Laurie Strode (portrayed by Jamie Lee Curtis), and her family is forced once again to confront, Michael Myers, the psychotic and murderous masked serial killer.

The original 1978 movie introduced the audiences to Myers who wreaks havoc on the town of Haddonfield, Ill., after escaping from prison on Halloween night.

“Halloween Kills” picks up following the events of 2018’s “Halloween,” which saw Strode dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder 40 years after surviving Michael Myers’ original murder spree.

The movie also sees Nick Castle, Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, Kyle Richards, Nancy Stephens, and Charles Cyphers are reprising their roles from previous franchise entries. It will also feature Anthony Michael Hall and Robert Longstreet joining the cast.

The production, directed by David Gordon Green, is the 12th movie in the franchise. It is produced by Jason Blum through his Blumhouse Productions banner, alongside Malek Akkad and Bill Block.

The 2018 movie was a huge box office hit, earning $255 million globally and solidifying its place as the highest-grossing installment in the series. The franchise has collectively allocated $640 million worldwide.

“Halloween Kills” was originally set to be released on October 16, 2020, but it was delayed to Oct. 15, 2021, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

It's direct follow-up, “Halloween Ends,” is scheduled to debut on Oct. 14, 2022.
