On Wednesday, a Greek Coast Guard boat and a Turkish one collided in the Aegean sea. Shortly, every state presenter had different views of how the incident took place.

The Greek one said that the Turkish vessel hit it inside the Greek territorial waters and left it with some damage according to the Ekathimerini.

On the other hand, the Turkish Coast Guard claimed that the incident occurred because the Greek vessel violated the Turkish territorial waters before it was blocked by four Turkish Coast Guard boats.

In the same context, the relationship between Greece and Turkey still witnesses more tension as Turkey started to negotiate with Greece around the possibility of re-identifying the borders between both countries due to the expiration of the Lausanne Treaty in 2023.

Moreover, Turkey continued provoking the Greek side after issuing Navtex orders concerning the Turkish and Greek territories in the Aegean amid Turkey's preparations for maritime exercise.
