Khaled Fouda, Governor of South Sinai said that what was reported by one of British newspapers about the death of a 68-year-old tourist after she was attacked by a shark at a beach in Sharm El-Sheikh is not true.

The governor confirmed in a press statement on Saturday that the news is completely fake, and none of the tourists had any accidents at all, and all tourists in Sharm El-Sheikh enjoy calm, and practice all their usual daily activities according to their tourism programs, especially marine activities.

Meantime, the newspaper changed the destination of the attack from Sharm el Seikh to Hurghada, and specifically Sahl Hashesh in Marsa Allam.

Several reporters shared videos and photos of the incident , which occurred at the coast of one of the Red Sea resorts in Sahl Hashish, confirming the attack.

The Austrian Elizabeth Scooper, 68, died of 'painful shock' - most likely a heart attack - after the attack at Sahl Hasheesh bay in the Red Sea on Friday.

Horror footage shows her clamoring toward safety with the aid of a flipper as the waters around her turned scarlet red.

Terrified onlookers tried to distract the animal, but no one jumped in to help her.

After miraculously making her way back to land, doctors gave her CPR at the scene.

But she died minutes later in an ambulance.
