On Tuesday, the prominent search engine Google revealed interesting data related to FIFA World Cup 2022 searches.

The top sports event was a central topic for media and social media for more than three weeks due to the popularity of football around the world.

Google revealed that the top searched name was Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo stepped into the final World Cup participation in his career with his national team Portugal. He hoped that he could reach the golden cup, however, his dreams faded away after his team was knocked out by the Lions of Atlas Morocco.

Ronaldo headed all search processes on Google and its different platforms. He was followed by Messi and Mbappe.

Asian countries, especially Pakistan and Sri Lanka, were the most countries that searched for Ronaldo, unlike Bangladesh where Messi had a fine share of top google searches.

Regarding Mbappe, the top searched countries for him were France, the UK, Morocco, and Cameron.

Bangladesh was the most country that searched for FIFA World Cup news.

In the same context, Google recorded the highest traffic in 25 years during the FIFA World Cup yesterday, according to CEO Sundar Pichai.

The FIFA World Cup 2022 final is likely the most watched final in history.
