Gold Prices have increased by EGP 12 in local markets this week, in the light of gold ounce prices rise in global exchange markets recording $1744 instead of $ 1740.

The reasons for such an increase were the drop of the US dollar price and the low-US Treasury interest rates.

In the same context, the Head of Gold Division at the Chamber of Commerce in Cairo highlighted that the 21-Karat price reached Saturday the level of EGP 772 on Saturday comparing to EGP 760 last Monday.

He added that 18-Karat was traded at EGP 662, 24-Karat recorded EGP 882, and the gold pound reached the level of EGP 6176.
