German International University for Applied Sciences (GIU AS) president Prof. Dr. Matthias Knaut said that the university is considered as a bridge to strengthen ties between Germany and Egypt.

Knaut expressed happiness as Youssef Ehab Althamis, a 'Thanweyya Amma' top student, joined faculty of engineering within the framework of full scholarships provided by GIU AS for outstanding students holders of Egyptian Thanweyya Amma as well as the other equivalent international certificates.
