Get to Know Upcoming Key Archaeological Openings

The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities is preparing to open many archaeological sites and museums in the coming period.

Dr. Mustafa Waziri, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, reviewed the plan set for the upcoming key archaeological openings.

This came during the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Supreme Council of Antiquities held yesterday chaired by Dr. Khaled Al-Anani, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities.

Dr. Waziri affirmed the council’s commitment to completing the restoration and development of these sites and museums, according to the pre-set timetable.

These openings include the New Administrative Capital (NAC) museum, Sharm El-Sheikh museum, Kafr El-Sheikh museum, the Royal carriages museum, the National Museum of Egyptian civilization, Cairo Airport antiquities museum, and the Baron Empain Palace.

On his part, Anani underlined the necessity to adhere to the timetable set for the openings and to prepare for the stage of reopening museums and archaeological sites for visitors in accordance with the approved health safety regulations, amid coronavirus concerns.
