Former Liverpool player Luis Garcia stated that his club needs to win championships to keep the Egyptian star Mohammed Salah at Anfield, pointing out that Mo's quality has enabled him to play in any club in the world. Salah is currently top scorer in the English Premier League with 21 goals, followed by Senegalese teammate Sadio Mani.

The Liverpool Echo pointed out that Salah was recently linked to leave Liverpool, amid interests from Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid. "If Liverpool win the Championships, I think it will be easier for the club to keep Salah's services," Garcia said.

"If Liverpool win the Championships, I think it will be easier for the club to keep Salah's services," Garcia said. "Everyone knows that Barcelona and Real Madrid will be targeting the best players during the upcoming summer transfer."

"At the moment, I think Liverpool are a different club than they were last year. They reached the Champions League final last year. They are also competed for the Premier League and the Champions League. They now have the ability to win big championships."

Salah is currently enjoying a great season, Topping the league scorers table with 21 goals and 8 assists, only receiving close competition from his teammate Sadio Mane who is currently enjoying 20 goals with one assist, followed by Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero with 19 goals.

The Pride of Egypt was quick to react to critics stating that he was having a bad season, calmly saying he is now scoring more goals than players having their best season. In addition, he is now leading Liverpool in the Premier League tug of war with Manchester City, plus the team’s Semi-Finals clash with Barcelona.
