Turkish Super Lig giants Galatasaray confirmed that they will be paying the remaining fees of Mostafa Mohamed’s move from Zamalek next month.

Mohamed had joined Galatasaray from Cairo giants Zamalek on an 18-month loan deal back in January of 2020.

The 24-year-old’s contract also included a clause that allowed the Turkish club to buy the player for $4 million at the end of its duration.

With nine goals in 17 appearances across all competitions in his debut season, Galatasaray activated the buy option in Mohamed’s contract last December with the forward signing a three-year deal that runs until the summer of 2025.

However, Mohamed has struggled to find his form this season, netting just six goals and providing three assists in 24 league appearances.

Despite Mohamed’s performance drop, he remains one of Galatasaray’s potential future investments as his name is currently linked to a number of big clubs in Europe, especially in France.

Speaking on Mostafa’s situation, Galatasaray deputy chairman Erden Timur confirmed that they will be paying the remaining fees to Zamalek next month as the Egyptian striker is a valuable player in the team ranks.
