Four Singers Perform in Concerts in Cairo, Alexandria Next Friday

Activities of the 30t edition of the Festival and Conference of Arab Music in Cairo and Alexandria continue until Friday.

Next Friday, November 5 , four singers are going to perform in concerts mounted in the two cities.

At 8 p.m. on Friday, the Lebanese super star Assi El Hellany will perform in theatre of Al-Nafourah (Fountain ).

He will be accompanied by Al Hefny Music Band led by conductor Ahmed Amer.

Al Helany will sign a selected group of his own songs along with music compositions.

Also, Marwa Nagy, a singer will perform a number of well-famed songs.

Then, Furat Qaddoury, an Iraqi player of dulcimer will play a number of heritage’s songs in addition to his own musical compositions.

At 7 P.M. On Friday, the Choir of Youth and Children of the Center of Developing Talents, supervised by Ashraf Abdel Wahhab and led by Dr. Mohamed Abdel Sattar and Dr. Dalia Hassanein, will perform a selection of Arab rapture.

Al –Gumhuriah Theatre will host at 8 P.M. next Friday, the band of Hymns led by conductor Amr Farhat.

Singer Ahmed Saad, choristers Ahmed El-Ommary, Mohamed Abdel Hamid, Omniah Samir will perform on that theatre selections of spiritual compositions and hymns laid in music by grand composers.

On the same day, Library of Alexandria will host the grand Lebanese Marwan Khoury accompanied by a band led by conductor Mustafa Helmy.

Hammam Ibrahim and Rehab Motae, two Iraqi singers are going to perform before the Lebanese singer.

Activities of the scientific conference continue at the Minor Theatre where group discussion will be held on Friday on learning playing of Arab Music instruments.

The forum will be attended by Dr. Hesham Sharaf (Iraq) as commissioner, Dr. Heba Turjman (Syria), Dr. Mahmud Monieb Rashdan (Palestine), and Dr. Habib Zaher Al-Abbas (Iraq).

The discussion will be resumed again at 12.30 P.M and it be attended by Dr. Mohamed Al Masmoudy (Tunisia), Dr. Hayyaf Yassin (Palestine), Dr. Omar Basher (Tunisia), Dr. Naheel Salloum (Syria), and Dr. Saber Abdel Sattar ( Egypt).

At 4 P.M. finals of Dr. Ratieba Al Hufny competition for music and singing will be concluded at the Minor Theatre.
