Four Rockets Strike at Village in Iraq's Diyala

A security source informed NRT Arabic that four rockets were fired at a village in Diyala governorate on Thursday evening (January 27).

"Four shells landed in the village of Sadranieh, east of Miqdadiya (Sharaban)," the source said, without providing any other information.

The attack's intended target, as well as the degree of any damage or casualties, are yet unknown.

Last week, two explosions took place in the southern Iraqi province of Basra on Thursday morning, according to Iraqi local sources.

The boom was heard in Basra region in southern Iraq, according to Sabereen News.

According to the source, the explosion happened near the Islamic Bank on Esteghlal Street.

Two bombs were reported in Basra province minutes later, according to Sabereen News, with another rocket at a construction company in this southern Iraqi province.

This comes after Iraqi news outlets reported on Sunday that two explosions occurred in Baghdad’s Karrada neighbourhood, injuring two persons.
