Germany’s strong woman, Chancellor Angela Merkel, was caught once again on camera trembling, the third in public in less than a month, raising questions about her health.
Merkel, 65, looked shaking as national anthems were being played at the reception of the Finnish prime minister, Antti Rinne, this morning.
In June, she appeared unsteady and shook as she stood in the midday sun next to the visiting Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, whom she was welcoming with military honours. She then said that she didn’t drink a sufficient amount of water in that hot day.
But, a week later at the end of June, just hours before she was due to board a plane for the G20 summit in Japan, she was caught again trembling.
In Berlin, a spokesperson of her government affirmed that the Chancellor is doing good.
Merkel has said she will leave politics at the end of her term in 2021.
