Sierra Leonean Mohamed Boya Toray, striker for the Swedish club Malmö was forced to miss his wedding after the club asked to join him as soon as possible; in preparation for a match.
The Daily Mail revealed the details of the strange story of Boya Toray, commenting on it by saying: “It must be worth something important for you to miss your wedding day.”
The wedding was scheduled for July 21, but Malmö club wanted the 27-year-old to join them as soon as possible, in preparation for an important match.

Toray signed with the Swedish team after a leaving the Chinese League. Malmö announced the deal on July 22 after Toray traveled to his country to attend the wedding, he traveled instead to Sweden and missed the party.
As described by the Daily Mail, Toray’s brother switched places with him at the wedding to walk down the aisle alongside the bride,.
Toray published three pictures of him and his new wife through his accounts on social networking sites, but he confirmed that those pictures were taken before the actual event and his departure to Sweden.
“We got married on July 21 in Sierra Leone, but I was not there because Malmö Club asked me to arrive early,” Mohamed Boya Toray said, in comments reported by Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet.
He added: “We took the photo beforehand, so it looks like I was there, but I wasn’t, my brother had to represent me at the actual wedding.”
The player concluded: “I will try to move my wife to Sweden and Malmö now so that she is close to me .. She will live here with me.”
