The event was facilitated by the Ministry of Culture, Antiquities, in collaboration with Ministry of Immigration and Egyptians Affairs Abroad and Social Solidarity.

The Troupe was received by Ahmed Abu Zeid, Ambassador of Egypt to Canada and his wife, expressing their appreciation for the great effort exerted by Dr. Enas Abdel-Dayem, Culture Minister, who facilitated the Troupe's travel arrangement to Canada.

The Egyptian ambassador lauded the high level of coordination among the members of the teamwork: the Egyptian Canadian Cultural Association, and the Embassy in Ottawa.

The ambassador said that the Egyptian community in Canada participates in various Egyptian cultural activities. He praised the professional level of all the members of the Troupe, which started its career more than forty years ago.

Abu Zeid praised the history of the Troupe and the great concerts they staged in different regions and governorates of Egypt.

The Troupe presented shows that attracted the attention and admiration of a large number of the Egyptian community in Ottawa who urged the embassy to hold more cultural events every year.

At the end of the ceremony, Abu Zeid received the shield of the Artistic House from the Troupe's leader Dr. Mahmoud Sabry.
