Egypt's Foreign Minister (FM) Sameh Shoukry said on Saturday that Egypt deals with any current or new government in Israel on the basis of normal ties between countries.

In televised remarks to "Ala Masoality' talk show aired on the "Sada El-Balad" TV channel, Shoukry said, "We are working with Israel to advance the peace process and achieve the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the borders of 1967, with Jerusalem as its capital."

"Egypt is committed to establishing an independent Palestinian state," FM said, adding, "we will continue to work with the new Israeli government and international partners, led by the United States (US), to accomplish the Palestinian people's goals."
