Flight to Evacuate Egyptians Stranded in Hungary, Serbia, Greece

The Egyptian Embassy in Budapest announced on Saturday that an exceptional trip will be organized for stranded citizens in Hungary, Serbia and Greece to include critical cases and university students who wish to return to their homes.

The embassy added - through its page on social media platform that an EgyptAir flight will take off from Belgrade International Airport on Wednesday, April 22, and a trip will be organized to transfer stranded Egyptians from Budapest to Belgrade by bus to catch that flight.

Meantime, authorities in Cairo reported that the returning citizens will bear the price of the travel ticket and the cost of living for 14 days in the quarantine, as well as the cost of the bus trip from Budapest to Belgrade, bearing in mind that the payment should be made in advance to the flag carrier through e-payments or through the offices of EgyptAir in Cairo.

The value of a two-week stay in an inpidual room in a hotel in Marsa Alam, including a flight ticket will cost 10,500 pounds.

The embassy invited the citizens, who desire to return on the exceptional flight to quickly provide their data on the embassy's e-mail "[email protected]", including a copy of the passport, the photo of the entry visa and phone number.

Data should be provided no later than April 20, 12:00 pm, in order to complete the necessary procedures.
