Finance Min. Denies Issuing Data Related to Fuel Prices

Egypt's Ministry of Finance (MOF) denied the issuance of any press statements regarding the change in fuel prices, stressing that a fabricated Facebook page, which used the ministry's logo, broadcast rumors to spread confusion and stir public opinion.

The Ministry of Finance said in a statement on Sunday that the owner of the forged page is currently being tracked, and all legal measures will be taken against him.

Moreover, the Ministry appealed to all the media platforms not to pay attention to such suspicious web pages that fabricate rumors and promote lies to cause confusion in the society, stating that the MOF owns official web pages, which publish all the data and information concerning the latest activities, policies, and developments.
