Finance minister recovers from coronavirus

Finance Minister Mohamed Maait has fully recovered from coronavirus, according to informed sources.

The minister spent about two weeks in self-isolation.

On Tuesday, Egypt reported 579 new coronavirus cases, upping its total infections tally nationwide to 185,334 since the outbreak last year, a statement by the health ministry said.

The health ministry reported 45 new deaths, bringing overall fatalities from the virus nationwide to 10,916.

The statement added that 533 patients have been discharged from hospitals over the past 24 hours to mark total recoveries at 143,143.
