Fayoum Thug

We are used to watching the Upper Egypt thug in movies, hiding in the mountains, going out only to capture his prey, steal and loot then he returns to hide again. Some believed that he is like  Robin Hood, who robbed the rich to feed the poor. But a weird thug appeared last week, known as  Fayoum Thug. He appeared in broad daylight with an automatic weapon and firearms. He open the fire from the roof of his house and took his wife and children as hostages.. Who is this man and why did he detain his wife. why did he open the fire hysterically..there are many aspects to this story that we need to know..is he a psychopath. Does he has a conviction as a dangerous criminal..and if he is a dangerous criminal why is he free ..he took his family as hostages for what?!

We, as a society, need to know and understand as long as the incident is published. It is real heroism of the police, national security and its special forces that showed great courage, freed the hostages and arrested the criminal without loss of lives. But what is behind this incident? What is happening in Fayoum and who are those people who are dealing with this person. How did he live with them? Did he suddenly turn to be violent, or did he practice violence throughout his life?!

I hope the social research centers will tell us the reason for what happened. Earlier, we heard about Alexandria Thug,  how his childhood was, and how he was raised up. Concerning his Thug that killed his mother-in-law, detained his wife and children, shot and tortured them. There is a psychological disorder and an abnormal story. We need psychologists and sociologists to reveal the truth about this personality.

How did this personality live among the people and since when?

Even if the Fayoum Thug is an inpidual case, we need to know what happened. Who is the Fayoum Thug, to prevent the appearance of a new Thug in other governorates? there is a Thug that has previously appeared in Ismailia, killing, slaughtering, carrying the head of his dead victim, and wandering in the street in broad daylight. In this incident, everyone spoke with the victim’s family, and no one spoke with the perpetrator’s family, No one spoke with his mother and sister, What are the circumstances, how he was raised up and lived among people, and what was he doing causing the appearance of this psychopath ..or who they are so that their neighbors and society take caution until treatment is completed before a societal disaster occurs.

social institutions and research centers must play their role in analyzing these personalities and revealing the reasons for their appearance.

The research and media system needs a review.
