Farouk Hosny Foundation Selects Sculpture Award Qualifiers

On Saturday, the jury members of Farouk Hosny Sculpture award announced the standards of evaluating the participated works in the third edition of the foundation’s art awards, in addition to selecting the qualified participants for the following stage of the competition.

Furthermore, the criteria of selecting the qualified participants based on quality, innovation, and the degree of reflecting contemporary and today's fine arts features.

76 participants came from 11 governorates and a total of  works were submitted.

The foundation will contact directly the qualified participants to the semi-final rounds in the upcoming period, while the names of the winners will be announced in a special ceremony for giving awards to them.

A group exhibition that dedicated to the qualified works to the final rounds will be organized.

It is worthy to mention that the jury of Sculpture award included Dr. Mohammad Al-Alawy, professor at Faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan University, and the former vice dean for Graduate Studies and Research of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan University, alongside, Artist Nagi Farid, and Dr. Essam Darwish, Professor at Department of Sculpture, Faculty of Art Education, Helwan University.

It also included Dr. Marwa Youssef, the former head of the Department of Sculpture, Faculty of Fine Arts at Zamalek, and Artist Ehab El Labban, the director of the Center of Arts.

The total value of the prize is EGP 100,000, EGP 50.000 for the first place, EGP 30.000 for the second one, and EGP 20.000 for the third. In addition, there are a number of honorary certificates for unique projects.
