The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts extremely hot, humid weather will prevail across the country during Tuesday’s daylight hours.
The weather will seem hotter due to the high humidity levels, which will push up the heat index 2-4 degrees.
The country will also witness mist on agricultural and highway roads in North Coast, Lower Egypt, Canal Cities, and West Cairo.
Wind will occur occasionally across the country.
Furthermore, the Mediterranean Sea will experience low to moderate waves ranging between 1 and 1.5 meters in height, with northwest surface winds.
The Red Sea will experience moderate to turbulent waves, ranging between 2 and 2.3 meters in height, with northwest surface winds.
Moderately hot, humid weather is also expected to prevail in Egypt at night and in the early hours.
There will also be a disruption of maritime navigation in the Red Sea and Gulf of Suez with wind speed reaching 30 to 50 km/hr and wave height ranging from 2 to 2.5 meters.
The predicted temperatures for the following cities are 37°C in Cairo, 31°C in Alexandria, 30°C in Marsa Matruh, 41°C in Sohag, 42°C in Qena, and 43°C in Aswan.
