Egyptian Archeologist Zahi Hawass announced completion of Tutankhamun’s Opera. The announcement was made on Friday morning in a press conference in Venice, Italy.

This opera is written by Hawass. But the scenarist is Franshisco Santocono and the music writer is Zambone.

At the beginning of the conference, the first scene of the opera was performed. Famous opera star Susanna played the role of Nefertiti, while well-known Roberto played the role of “the priest”.

More than 500 journalists from different countries attended the press conference.

It’s noteworthy that, Opera Aida was announced 148 years ago. Therefore, he noted that it’s the time to make a new opera for “Tutankhamun”.

He stressed that the opening the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) will be at the end of 2020.

Also, November 4, 2022, will mark the centennial anniversary of the Golden King Tomb’s discovery.

“The opera’s main theme will be about death of Tutankhamun and Queen Nefertiti’s era who succeeded him in ruling Egypt,” Hawass said.

The play will also include details about King Kosh’s role in Tutankhamun’s death and how Hor Moheb foiled the scheme and killed Kosh’s soldiers.

The Egyptian archaeologist revealed that another scene will be about Tutankhamun’s taking up the throne.

After completion of the opera’s music, a second announcement will be made in New York City on September 29.

Cairo will host another international press conference in October on this regard.

“The first performance of the opera will be on the occasion of opening GEM,” Hawass noted.

He added that the second performance will be conducted on the occasion of the tomb’s 100th discovery in the Kings Valley on Nov. 4, 2022.

Hawass wrote 16 books about Tutankhamun, in which he proved that the Golden King was not killed, but he passed away while he was riding a military bicycle.

On his part, Zambone expected that the new opera will be “magnificent” as the most famous opera singer Plácido Doming will take part in it.
