The operator corporation of the "Ever Given" revealed on Thursday that it won't be responsible for bearing any financial damages regarding halting the navigation in the Suez Canal.

"Evergreen Marine" asserted that the signed deals with the corporation's customers didn't include scheduled dates for delivering the shipments, the corporation president Eric Hsieh told Bloomberg.

He added that at least three ships re-directed their routes and moved towards the Cape of Good Hope.

“Our risk exposure from the Ever Given incident is very low -- even if there are damages, it will be covered by insurance,” the president revealed, adding: “Evergreen is free of responsibility from cargo delays.”

Those statements came on the occasion of various legal disputes between different parties including the Egyptian Suez Canal Authority which asking compensation over suspending the navigation in the canal.
