EU Freezes 30 Billion Euros in Russian Assets

On Friday, the European Commission announced that the EU held a meeting with representatives of the US and Ukraine to Discuss international cooperation to implement sanctions against Russia.

The "Bloomberg" news agency quoted the commission as saying that the EU member states have so far frozen 29.5 billion euros in assets of Russian billionaire people linked to the regime of President Vladimir Putin, including assets such as ships, helicopters, real estate, and works of art.

The European Commission and the European Union also banned financial transactions of the Russian billionaires, amounting to 196 billion euros.
