Ethiopia’s newly appointed Ambassador to Egypt, Markos Rike has arrived in Cairo on August 14, 2020 to assume his duty.
Prior to his appointment to Egypt, the ambassador has served, among other things, as a State Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (in charge of Europe, Asia, the Americas and International Organizations), as an Ambassador of Ethiopia to Japan and as a Directorate General at the Diplomatic Academy of the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Ambassador Markos is expected to submit a copy of his credentials in the coming period before he officially takes office.
