England Finally Defeat Italy for 1st Time in 62 Years

Late Thursday, England, finally, defeated Italy 2-1 for the first time in 62 to put their first foot in EURO 2024. 

Yesterday's win is considered the biggest wins of Gareth Southgate in his four qualifying campaigns. 

England's started their EURO 2024 qualifying campaign with a victory over the champions. 

The first goal for England was scored in 13 by Declan Rise, followed by a goal by the team's leader Harry Kane in 49 through penalty.

Regarding the Italians' only goal, it was scored by Mateo Retegui in 56.

After the historical win, the Prince and Princess of Wales congratulated the team. The Royal account said: "A leader on and off the pitch, and now @england’s record goalscorer, a testament to your brilliant career @hkane! Congratulations and here’s to many more ⚽️ W."
