Engineering Faculty in Cairo Univ. Introduces 4 Credit Hour Programs

The Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University, announced the start of four new credit-hour programs in September 2019. As a result, the credit-hour programs are available at the faculty, making it reach 15 besides 12 two term programs.

This move will blend with the country's policy in building new programs with direct connection to the current and future needs of the labor market not only in Egypt but in the whole world.

Program Fields

During the set up of the new programs, the developing of the current regulations in the two term programs or the credit hours programs, the following must be put into account:

-Future jobs must be taken into consideration

-The new programs must keep up with the country's economical and social development plan

-Examining the labor market extensively

-Quality and accreditation rules and mechanisms must be checked

-Committing to the reference frame of the Supreme Council of Universities

-Studying similar programs in international universities

-Studying the material and human capability of the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University

-Providing extra grants to develop the laboratories and lecture halls to welcome new students.

On this note, Dr. El Sayed Tag El Deen, the College Dean announced the development of the credit hours programs' regulations and the building of new programs that will start in September 2019 in the fields of:

-Mechanical Engineering

-Sustainable Energy Engineering

-Mechatronics

-Manufacturing and Material Engineering

-Industrial Engineering and Management.

Dr. Tag El Deen added that the registration door will open to new and transfer students after the results of the coordination of admission to universities. Students are required to achieve the minimum score for the Engineering colleges in the governmental universities.

He added that the college's regulations have been developed to keep pace with the regulations of the biggest universities and the needs of the labor market in Egypt and the world.
