Elon Musk: I Tried to Sell Tesla to Apple

On Wednesday, the Guardian revealed the 2nd Richest Man in the world Elon Musk previous will of selling his Tesla project to Apple.

He expressed that he contacted Apple Inc’s Tim Cook “during the darkest days of Tesla's Model 3 program” to discuss the possibility of Apple for “1/10th of our current value … He [Cook] refused to take the meeting."

Regarding the occasion of Musk's request to Apple, he revealed that he knew some reports about Apple's will to produce an electric car with advanced battery technology.

It wasn't the first time that Musk tried to sell his Tesla company. In 2013, Musk approached “ his friend Larry Page’s Google company to buy Tesla, according to the 2015 biography Elon Musk but this deal was canceled.

Last month, he was declared, the world’s 2nd-richest person as his net worth rose more than $7.2 billion, after he surpassed Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates, according to the Bloomberg list of billionaires.

The electric-car company’s stock increased by 500 points upward and from 15 billion dollars to 117 billion dollars, according to Sky News Arabia after the company has been added to “S&B 500.”

This year witnessed an astronomical rise of Musk’s net worth as he is one of the few whose net worth have been tripled amid the COVID-19 outbreak.

Moreover, his Space X is gaining more international recognition especially after launching the first full-crewed mission to orbit the Earth to become the first private space company to launch space flights.

In addition, Space X news went viral after its iconic launch of the Starlink satellite-train that was seen from Earth.
