“I do not want to spoil the album. In the upcoming period, we have the World Cup and I also was busy with traveling and concert, which all delayed the preparations for the album.” she added.
The acclaimed singer also addressed fans’ speculations about the release of the album during Christmas.
“It is possible but is certain that it will be released after the World Cup at an appropriate time,” she added.
The album will also feature Egyptian and Lebanese dialect songs.
She released her last album “Sahbit Raey” in July 2020.
She is also set to perform live at the Haliç Kongre Merkezi conference center, in Istanbul, Turkey, on Saturday, August 13.
The evening will also feature a performance by superstar Wael Kfoury.
Moreover, Elissa will also give a performance at the Olympia Theater in Paris, on November 12.
This will be the acclaimed singer’s fourth time performing at the historic theater after presenting her first show in 2017, the second time in 2019, and the third in 2021.
The Lebanese star has been the highest-selling female Middle Eastern artist since 2005. She sold over 30 million albums worldwide.
In 2005, she became the first Lebanese singer to be awarded the World Music Award for Best Selling Middle Eastern Artist, an award that she earned once again in 2006 and 2010.
The singer is often referred to as “Maliket El Ehsas” (Queen of Emotions) by fans and the media.
Elissa’s artistic journey began in 1992 when she won the silver medal in the Lebanese music competition “Studio El Fan”.
The singer’s debut studio album, “Baddy Doub” (I Want to Melt), was released by EMI Music Arabia in 1999.
