Elissa to Perform in Saudi Arabia on June 17

Lebanese recording artist, Elissa will perform live in Saudi Arabia, on Friday, June 17.

The concert is held as a part of the Jeddah Season

The acclaimed singer released her last album “Sahbet Raey” in July 2020.

The album revisits the story of her 20-year career. Elissa presented, 20 years ago, the song “Baddy Doub”, which subjected her to many criticisms due to being covered with only a bed cover, which will also be featured in her new album.

In the new album, Elissa cooperates with a large number of poets and composers including Ramy Gamal, Adel Hakki, Mohamed Rahim, Baha El Din Mohamed, Mohamed Yehia, Amir Teima, Nader Abd Allah, Osama Mostafa, Shady Nour, Ahmed Zaeem, Elhamy Dehema, Walid Said, and Nour.

The album was set to be the last in the Lebanese recording artist’s career, as the artist announced on August 19, 2019, that she will be quitting the music industry.

“I am preparing this new album with a lot of love and passion. The reason is that it will be the last one in my career. I am announcing this with a heavy heart but with a lot of conviction because I can’t work in a field that is similar to mafias. I can’t be productive anymore,” she tweeted on Twitter.

On the other hand, Elissa is set to perform live in Saudi Arabia, on Wednesday, June 8.

The evening will also feature a performance by superstar Wael Kfoury.

The duo is also set to perform live in Kuwait, on Friday, June  10.

The Lebanese star is considered one of the most talented voices in Lebanon and the Middle East.

She has been the highest-selling female Middle Eastern artist since 2005. The artist sold over 30 million albums worldwide.

The singer is often referred to as ‘Maliket El Ehsas’ (Queen of Emotions) by fans and the media.
