Talking about her upcoming album, Elissa stated: "Proud of what I’ve done... Crossing fingers for what’s coming... And my strongest asset is that I knew how to keep a clean heart".

The album will revisit the story of the Lebanese recording artist's 20-year career. Elissa presented, 20 years ago, song “Baddy Doub”, which subjected her to many criticisms due to being covered with only a bed cover, which will also be featured in her new album.

“The beginning of my career was difficult due to criticism, but I strongly surpassed everything because “my father taught me to be fearless and to always face my destiny,” she tweeted on Twitter.

Elissa concluded: “Today, I celebrate the 20th anniversary of success with clear conscience. Why? Because instead of being victimized, I decided to give my opinion, to be #SahbitRaey (opinion giver).”

The new album had been postponed several times due to coronavirus. It is produced and distributed by Rotana production company.

In the new album, Elissa cooperates with a large number of poets and composers including Ramy Gamal, Adel Hakki, Mohamed Rahim, Baha El Din Mohamed, Mohamed Yehia, Amir Teima, Nader Abd Allah, Osama Mostafa, Shady Nour, Ahmed Zaeem, Elhamy Dehema, Walid Said, and Nour.

The album is set to be the last in Elissa’s career, as the artist announced on August 19, 2019, that she will be quitting the music industry.

“I am preparing this new album with a lot of love and passion. The reason is that it will be the last one in my career. I am announcing this with a heavy heart but with a lot of conviction because I can’t work in a field that is similar to mafias. I can’t be productive anymore,” she tweeted on Twitter.

The 47-year-old artist’s latest album is “Ila Kol Elli Bihebbouni” (To All the Ones Who Love me), which was released by Rotana production، on July 24, 2018.

It also topped Twitter’s most trending list in Jordan and the UAE, as twitter users hashtags “#Elissa_Album_2018”, and flooded the social network with parts of the album songs.

The Lebanese artist had recorded the 16 songs in the album in both the Egyptian and Lebanese dialects, including singer-actress Warda Al-Jazairia’s song “Wahashtony”.

Elissa cooperated with a large number of Poets and composers including Amir Teima, Ramy Gamal, Nader Abdallah, and Walid Said.
