On Wednesday, Lebanese couturier Elie Saab presented a beautiful floral theme haute couture Fall-Winter 2021/2022 collection.

The show is a part of Paris Couture Week, which returned on July 5th with the French capital’s first physical couture shows in 18 months, spanning over a 4-day schedule.

Saab shared the new collection on his Instagram, and captioned: "The ELIE SAAB Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2021/2022 collection is a colorful and whimsical dreamscape of rebirth and renewal, where each gown is generously sewn with seeds of hope, and where each bud is a promise of growth."

"The collection is a hopeful reminder of a new dawn and an eternal spring." he added.

Saab channeled with his new collection, titled “Buds of Hope”, a message of optimism through the lineup of black looks that gradually lightens, finishing with pale pastels.

The lineup featured powdery gowns with tone-on-tone embroidery as well as a series of brighter, feathered pieces in stark colors.

Many of the bouffant gowns in the collection was a nod to the golden age of couture instigated by Dior, with skirts petaling out from small, stemlike waists tied neatly with bow belts.

The collection featured full-on Disney princess versions of this silhouette.

The looks that captured Saab’s theme best are the ones that felt the lightest. Each gown is sewn with flower patterns that symbolize a future abundant with possibility, signaling that it is time to achieve, prosper, and blossom. Embroidered buds and branches that emerge and unfold across each piece are emblematic of rebirth and renewal, in hope of a better tomorrow.
