"El Kabbag" Increases Income of Rural Pioneers to 900 Pounds

The Minister of Social Solidarity, Nivine El Kabbag, congratulated mothers on the occasion of Mother’s Day saying: “ Inshallah, Egypt is still safe and steadfast, above every crisis, adding:" to every woman in Egypt, to every woman and every girl, every year, you will still be kind, great, loving and strong."

El Kabbag announced that the number of beneficiaries of conditional cash support (Takaful and Karma) according to the acceptance criteria has increased by a total of 60,000 families, adding that the monthly income of rural pioneers has increased from 350 Egyptian pounds per month to 900 pounds per month.

She also stressed the inclusion of women 65 years and over who are without a care in the homes of the elderly, under the umbrella of social protection, in addition to increasing the number of beneficiaries of concessional loans, which are of simple benefit for making micro-projects to improve the family's standard of living.

El Kabbag pointed out to the opening of an institution for the care of women victims of human trafficking in the governorate of Qaliubiya before June 2020.

El-Kabbag reviewed a report on the services provided by the Ministry of Social Solidarity to Egyptian women. The most important of which was- Cash support: There are about 2,044,072 women receiving cash support "Takaful and Karma" at 78.5%, at a monthly cost of LE 546,976 million, with a monthly assistance value of LE480.
