Dr. Mostafa el Feki, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA), presented a shield of appreciation to Minister of Immigration Nabila Makram due to her exerted efforts in promoting cooperation between Egypt, Greece and Cyprus.

This came during Makram’s tour during the opening of the “IDEA-Ancient Greek Science and Technology” exhibition which is hosted by the BA, in cooperation with the Alexandria Center for Hellenistic Studies and the Thessaloniki Science Center and Technology Museum (NOESIS).

The exhibition is under the auspices of the General Secretariat of Greeks Abroad at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Greece, in the presence of Greek Ambassador to Egypt, Mr. Nikolaos Garilidis in addition to a group of thinkers, university professors and officials from Egypt and Greece.

During her tour, Makram stressed that reviving cultural relations between countries brings people closer as we have a common history and ancient civilizations, adding that we build a bright future to the benefit of all.

Moreover, she asserted that the exhibition is an example of scientists who excelled in Egypt in the shadow of the Greek civilization, which shows evidence of high-end human cooperation.

The minister also expressed her deep gratitude to El Feki as she gained a lot of experiences from him when he was her president at the Diplomatic Institute. She also emphasized that he is a great character and a national figure that carries culture, science and diplomacy in the 45th batch, from which 47 diplomats graduated.
