Egypt's delegation topped the standings of the All-Africa Games in Accra, Ghana, which will continue to 23 March.
The delegation of Egypt won 156 medals in all competitions, 91 gold medals, 35 silver medals, 30 bronze medals.
Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, said that I hope that the Egyptian delegation participating in the current African Games in Ghana will exceed the number of medals achieved by the Egyptian teams in the previous African Games in 2019 in Morocco, where Egypt won 273 medals, 102 gold medals, 98 silver medals and 73 bronze medals.
The Minister of Youth and Sports added: "I will travel to Ghana on March 23 in order to receive the banner of organizing and hosting Egypt for the 2027 African Games, and also to support the Egyptian mission and our sports heroes.
Egypt is participating in the current edition of the 2023 All-Africa Games, with a delegation of 390 players, coaches and administrators in 20 games .
