Well-known MP Moustafa Bakry announced that candidate registration for Egypt’s parliamentary elections will begin as of September 20, according to informed sources.
He added that Egyptians' voting will begin on October 25, and the runoff is scheduled to be held in early November.
"Consultations are underway on whether to hold elections over one or two stages," Bakry noted, adding that the second stage is set to take place between November and December.
It is worth mentioning that, the five-year parliamentary term ends in January 2021.
Parliament Speaker Ali Abdel-Aal said previously that the elections would be held in November 2020.
