Egypt's power engineer and Motorcyclist Ali Abdo has achieved a new world record for the greatest distance cycled in a day.

The Egyptian Motorcyclist has successfully completed the electric bike excursion across Egypt's roads in under 24 hours.

After his major achievement, Sky News Arabia held an interview with Abdo, who officially achieved a new Guinness World Record and has broken American pro-cyclist's record by clocking up 919 kms.

He told Sky News Arabia: “As an adventure-seeker, I am constantly chasing new experiences that challenge my ability."

“But in order to push myself through such challenging weather conditions and riding my bike on the roads of stunning Egyptian countryside and coastal cities, I have a renewed sense of awe for this country," he added.

Ultimately, he emphasized: "Having personally ridden through it, around and across it, slogging thousands of miles of Egyptian gravel – these experiences eventually allowed me to know a lot of special things about Egypt’s terrain by bike, and I am really so happy about this achievement after tremendous hard work."

It's worth mentioning that it is more than just an athletic achievement, Abdo’s ride pays homage to hundreds of minutes of overland travel through this fascinated country and in many ways is impossible to truly describe to anyone who hasn’t actually sunk their tires deep into it is remote and endless gravel roads of Egypt.
