Egypt's karate team won the World Karate League Championship in Antalya, Turkey.
Egypt's team topped the medal table and won five medals, two gold, one silver medal, and two bronze medals.
Gold medals were won by: Abdullah Mamdouh in the weight of 75 kg, Youssef Badawi in the weight of 84 kg, and the silver medal: Taha Tariq in the weight of over 84 kg, and the bronze medals were won by Ahlam Hamdi in the weight of 55 kg and Abdullah Hashem in the weight of 75 kg.
Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, praised the outstanding performance of the players during the world championship, stressing that this is evidence of the success of the Egyptian sports system in individual and team games, including Egyptian Karate.
