Egypt's FM Heads to Oman to Discuss Enhancing Bilateral Ties

On Saturday, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry kicked off a two-day visit to the Omani capital, Muscat, where he will chair the Egyptian delegation participating in the 15th session of the joint Egyptian-Omani committee.

In a statement, the spokesman for the Foreign Ministry, Ahmed Hafez, said that Shoukry will meet, during the visit, a number of senior Omani officials to discuss aspects of the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries in light of strong ties that unite them.

In addition, the Egyptian top diplomat will exchange views on urgent Arab issues and the most prominent regional and international files of common interest.

 

On the sidelines of the joint ministerial committee, a number of memoranda of understanding and bilateral cooperation agreements will be signed.

 

The minister will also witness the opening of the third session of the Egyptian-Omani Joint Business Council.
